Steak and Turkish Chopped Salad
Well don't say I didn't warn you. This is yet another bowl of protein utop a delicious bowl of veggies. This one inspired by a Turkish Salad, cingene salatasi. It's good with any cooked protein, steak happened to be my option this evening.
This salad was something I tried a few years ago for the first time and fell in love with. The pomegranate molasses with the olive oil and red peppers makes for a delicious crunch.
Turkish Salad Recipe
1 serving protein, cooked as desired
2 red bell peppers, sliced
1/2 small red onion, sliced
3 Tbsp. Olive oil
2 tsp. Pomegranate molasses
2 Tbsp. Feta, crumbled
1 tsp. Garlic paste
1/2 tsp. Sumac
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh, parsley, chopped
Whisk together the olive oil, pomegranate molasses, garlic paste, sumac, salt and pepper. Add the red onion, bell peppers, and feta and then toss to coat.
Top with your protein if choice and enjoy!
